SUMMER HANGING BASKETS AND CONTAINERS 2024

We still have a few baskets for sale in the polytunnel although if you would like one specially made, we may be able to help. When placing your order, you can either:

  1. Phone us on 01920 465026
  2. Complete the enquiry form and somebody will contact you within 48 hours
  3. Drop into the Nursery and speak to our retail staff

We can fill your own baskets and containers if you bring them into us or you can purchase your basket ‘complete’; (we will plant into a brand new wire basket and coir liner).  The compost used is peat reduced and 95% of the plants used are homegrown on site.  We do give a discount if you bring in your old baskets and containers.

You can choose your own colour scheme or leave it to us for ‘our own mix’.  If you have any particular plant likes or dislikes, please let us know and we’ll try to accommodate them wherever possible.

We will then plant up your baskets and allow them to grow on.   You will receive a phone call to arrange an appointment to collect, once the danger of frost has passed, usually at the end of May.

Orders need to be submitted to us by the end of April at the latest.

We offer a stunning range of hanging baskets. The majority of plants used are all homegrown from seed and plug plants. Organic methods are used where possible, including peat-free and peat-reduced compost.

To ensure your Summer hanging baskets stay in tip-top condition, you will need to water daily, (sometimes twice a day) dependent upon how thirsty your plants are and how much sun your arrangement gets. We recommend that you water slowly from the top until the water starts dripping from the bottom of the basket.  Try and water at the base of the plants rather than splashing water over the plants themselves, which will help to prevent scorching.  Avoid watering at the hottest time of day.

  • Use a good quality plant feed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
  • Carry out regular deadheading or training, as required. Deadheading will encourage new growth/flowers.
